The first ever health and regenerative medicine themed Hackathon is being held in Victoria. Hackathons are focused events which bring together interdisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions to front-line healthcare problems.  We are recruiting hackers from all backgrounds and experiences, mentors, and judges.

The kick-off event will be held at the University of Victoria – Come out to hear about the challenges and to arrange teams! Challenges posed by the BCRegMed Initiative, the Victoria Hand Project, and Island Health will be presented to the hackers, enabling them to create teams. The teams will have until the hacking weekend to think about their approach to challenges. We will have a team of mentors who will answer questions about the challenges.

The hackathon itself will take place at Fort Tectoria, September 28-30 with the solutions being judged on Sunday, and an awards ceremony to follow.

Final details of the event can be found here.
