BCREGMED would like to welcome Edwin Gershom who joined us in December in the role of Manager, Partnerships and Innovation. He will be located in the BRC building. We are happy to announce that the Summer by Design 2010 workshop at the University of Toronto will run from July 6-21, 2019. The workshop is offered by Medicine by Design in partnership with CCRM and the Rotman School of Management. They will again be seeking high-performing, international applicants from their university partners. The Summer by Design workshop is focused on helping PhD and postdoctoral fellows to advance their understanding of how to translate and commercialize regenerative medicine research. Congratulations to Chris Turner (Granville Lab), who has been awarded the 2018 AWTRS (Australasian Wound & Tissue Repair Society) Young Investigator Award

Post-Doctoral Fellow, Chris Turner (Granville Lab) was awarded the Australasian Wound & Tissue Repair Society (AWTRS) Young Investigator of the Year Award at the 2018 Cutaneous Biology Conference (Oct 29 - Nov 1, 2018) in Australia. Dr. Turner also received a 2018 BCREGMED Travel Award for his abstract, Granzyme K expressed by classically activated macrophages contributes to inflammation and impaired remodeling in burns, as well as a AWTRS Conference Travel Award for his exceptional work.
