Raquel DeSouza
School of Biomedical Engineering
Raquel is the Partnerships Manager at UBC’s School of Biomedical Engineering (SBME), where she fosters collaborations with industry, academia, clinicians, not-for-profits and government for research, commercialization, trainee engagement, and governance-related initiatives. After completing her training at the University of Toronto (HonBSc in Genetics and Biotechnology, PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences), she has continually worked at the interface between industry and academia, including as a Scientific Associate at Toronto’s Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, consultant to the pharmaceutical industry, and Innovation Partnerships Manager at the Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation at UBC.
