Pamela Hoodless
BC Cancer Agency
Pamela is the Director of and a Distinguished Scientist in the Terry Fox Laboratory (TFL) at the BC Cancer Agency (BCCA) with a cross-appointment to the Department of Medical Genetics and the School of Biomedical Engineering at the University of British Columbia (UBC).
Pamela’s uses state of the art genomic technologies to shed new light on classical processes in developmental biology. Her lab is exploring regulatory mechanisms in heart and gastrointestinal tract development in the mouse embryo using genome-wide analysis of gene expression, transcription factor binding, and histone modifications. She is also interested in how signaling pathways regulate tissue differentiation through altering epigenetic and transcription factor functions during development.
